Look at what works.

If you want to become better at selling, observation is a fantastic technique for learning what works and what doesn't. Observe not just yourself, but, also, begin to notice good sales experiences all around you. When you're out shopping, pay attention to some of the other customers who are in the store with you. Notice how the store's employees greet these customers and how they work with them prior to completing the sale. By noticing what works, and what doesn't, you'll have a better platform on which to base the sales process for your business.
