Even though it might be difficult to hear, it's important to ask people why they decided not to buy. On your website, this can be done with a simple exit survey or email follow up. In the offline world, you might get the same information by surveying people, setting up informal focus groups, or studying what others are doing (especially the successful ones). Finding out why people decided not to buy is the first step to repositioning your sales strategy to get past No.
